SeABank launches ‘SeARun 2024’ virtual community race

Held annually since 2018, SeABank's community race "SeABank Run for the Future" has attracted the attention and participation of 150,000 athletes. Those are SeABank’s employees, partners, and customers from all regions who have jointly completed more than 6.1 million km through both onsite and online races. Continuing the achieved successes, SeARun 2024 will take place in the virtual form via UpRace application in 23 days (from November 8th to November 30th, 2024), named “SeARun 2024: Beyond Limit - Be a Legend”.

By holding this race, SeABank aims at providing a useful sport playground, improving the public sportsmanship, connecting people with similar passion for running. Remarkably, the race spreads a profound spirit of "Community-oriented" - one of the Bank's 5 core values, connecting customers and the community to share the similar goal of protecting the environment, nurturing poor children’s academic dreams, aiming for the good life values.

As a non-profit race, each km completed equals to VND 1,000 donated to the SeAGreen environmental fund and Dream Nurturing study encouragement fund. The total estimated amount of nearly VND 1.7 billion will be used to plant 68,000 trees, and granting scholarships to 10 students of difficulties.

 

 

One special feature of this race is that one big team could comprise different small teams. To explain, after registration and joining a big team, athletes can create smaller teams within the initial big team to compete. In this way, the competition among small teams could motivate to increase achievements of the bigger team. In addition, this year’s race has separate groups for semi-professional runners and amateur runners (the semi-professional runners are all listed in SeAPro - Runner group).

There are 5 levels of completion according to titles and completed kilometers of each athlete: FIGHTER (>50km), WARRIOR (>100km), HERO (>200km), SUPER (>300km), ANGEL (>400km) and LEGEND (>500km), each comes with certificates at the end of the race. Notably, achievements will be doubled on Sundays and Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20th, 2024). 

This year's prize structure is extremely attractive with a total value of nearly VND 150 million for the following categories: Pro-Runner Collective Award for the Top 3 semi-professional teams with the highest total valid achievements; Pro-Runner Individual Award for the Top 20 semi-professional athletes with the highest total valid achievements; Amateur Collective Award for the Top 6 teams with the highest total valid achievements; Individual Award for the Top 20 amateur athletes with the highest total valid achievements.

Step-by-step guides on joining SeABank Run For The Future 2024 and contributing to meaningful social activities as below:
Step 1: Athletes download the UpRace mobile app or visit the website: https://uprace.vn and register. Athletes with existing UpRace accounts can log in to theirs.
Step 2: After successful account registration, athletes will participate by clicking the "Join" button on the event named ‘SeARun 2024 [SS2]: Beyond Limit - Be a Legend’, which can be found in the "Community" > "Events" section on the application.
Step 3: Athletes click ‘create a new team’ or join an existing team of choice. 
•    Each account can only join one team to compete in the event.
•    Within one big team, athletes can create smaller teams to compete.
•    Athletes are not allowed to change teams after the event start (00:00, November 8th, 2024).
•    No new registration to the race from 00:00, November 17th, 2024.
