Responding to the call of Vietnam’s Prime Minister and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for "Joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide by 2025", with the spirit of mutual love and the core value "Community-oriented", Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, HOSE: SSB) donated VND30 billion. This is to build and repair houses for the poor, joining hands to achieve the goal of eradiating temporary and dilapidated houses in An Giang province.
The emulation movement “Joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide by 2025” was launched with the goal of repairing and building about 170,000 temporary and dilapidated houses; bringing solid houses to people with meritorious services, targeted beneficiaries of national programs, poor/near-poor households, ethnic minorities in remote areas, border and island areas, etc. On October 5, 2024, the program "Warm home for my people" was launched by the Prime Minister and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to call for social resources and support to eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Within the framework of the program, SeABank donated VND30 billion to support repair and build houses for poor and near-poor households in An Giang province.
With the mission of bringing a happier life and a prosperous future to the community, during its 30-year-journey, SeABank has continuously spread and linked good values. Various volunteer and community-oriented activities has been carried out regularly, annually by the Bank, focusing on educational encouragement, supporting the vulnerables, poverty reduction, natural disaster aid, and environmental protection, etc.
Previously, SeABank has donated nearly VND50 billion to build and repair temporary, dilapidated houses for the near-poor and poor, equivalent to nearly 900 houses in the provinces of Ha Tinh, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Nha Trang, Nghe An, etc. The Bank also maintains the operation of 5 internal charity funds and sponsors social activities launched by governmental agencies, different institutions and organizations to improve the quality of life and provide equal growth opportunities for the vulnerables such as children, the disabled, people living in difficulties.
Pursuing the "Community-oriented" motto - one of the Bank’s five core values, SeABank will continue to build a corporate culture of love and sharing, promoting national spirit and the tradition of mutual love in all business and social responsibility activities, aiming at sustainable development associated with the prosperity and happiness of the community.
